Overview
Executive Master of Business Administration (e-MBA)
Course Duration: 1 Year (2 semesters)

Objective

The broad objective of Executive MBA – Distance Education Program course is to impart Higher Education in Management to executives who wish o continue higher education while they are working and who want to acquire e-MBA to grow in the organizations but have no spare time to attend regular MBA program.

Secondly, to provide the executive with opportunities to develop conceptual and analytical skills and foster attitudes essential for their development into competent and effective managers. The course shall be governed by the following regulations.

Eligibility for Admission:

  1. Bachelor’s degree,  form a recognized university with three years of post qualification work experience.
  2. Diploma holders of Recognized university with five years of post qualification work experience as a supervisor/ manager
  3. Post Graduate teachers with minimum of four years research and teaching experience
  4. Lawyers with three years of practice at the Bar/ or worked any attorney’s office/ Law firms/ Legal advisers at any corporate organization

 

Course Structure

Business Administration is especially concerned with the determination of overall corporate objectives, policies and business strategies to attain the broad and ultimate goals of organization. It encompasses the modalities of the management of the projects, finance, production, marketing, distribution and also proper coordination between the above operations. It aims at a centrally controlled authority to lead to the execution of plans and policies laid down by the administration. With this overall concept in mind, the e-MBA course has been structured to include the following specialized study areas.

The course is of two semesters, in which first semester carries all compulsory papers and the second semester provides for specializations.

Admission to this course is offered in 2 cysles the first commencing in January and the second in July.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Methodology

Course Material Print and (Soft Copy) will be provided to the students at the commencement of each semester

Classes will be conducted with standardized teaching aids through study centers. Contact classes will also be conducted through e-Learning, for students who do not have a study center in their town.

Teaching aids will be supported with real world case studies

Assessment

Internal assessment will be done for 20%, based on minimum 2 assignment/case studies per subject.
Written examination will be conducted and evaluated by KUVEMPU UNIVERSITY, Karnataka, India, at the end of each semester for 80%
Live Project to be completed by the end of 2nd semester and report submitted which will carry 150 marks and Viva voce for 50 marks after the final exam.

Criteria for passing

Minimum for pass: 40% in each paper (including IA and Theory) and 50%, in aggregate.

Award of Degree

Degree will be awarded to successful candidates by Kuvempu University

ICBMS is associated with KUVEMPU University to offer student support for e-MBA and MHRM courses.
